Membership Costs

Preparation Costs

The $25 Membership Application Fee (non-refundable) can be paid via Zelle, PayPal (credit card), or check (USPS). Invoices are sent via email. Your application will not be reviewed until payment has been received.

Fourteen days before club activation, you will receive an email requesting you to activate or not activate your membership. If you activate, you will schedule your home charging installation appointment. You will need to be able to park the club vehicle overnight, either on your driveway or in your garage. The Wall Connector cost is $500 and the licensed electrician installation cost is $2000. You will receive an invoice for $2500 (a non-refundable, preparation cost). Payment is due within 7 days or your home charging installation appointment will be cancelled and your membership may be terminated.

Club Policies & Guidelines

The Club pays your Robo Taxi cost for your travel back home after you deliver the club vehicle to the next member’s address. The vehicle has to arrive within 30 minutes of your scheduled reservation end time. A late fee of $5 for every 5 minutes late will be charged to the responsible member. Note: This is the largest expense category for the club (nearly 50%). This club expense could disappear if and when a future FSD feature titled "Summon" allows the vehicle to travel to the next member's address without a human driver.
The club pays each member $3/hr for electricity used to recharge the vehicle. $5 is paid for a 1.5 hour recharge and $20 is paid for 7 hours of overnight charging.
If the Club Vehicle is unavailable during your reserved 4-hour slot, you will be compensated $95 by the Club.
If the Club's total expenses exceed the annual budget, the extra cost will be divided equally among members and invoiced at year-end.
If the club expenses are below the annual budget, the remaining funds will be equally refunded to all members at year-end.
Costs for vehicle repairs and maintenance will be equally shared among club members and are expected to be less than $2000 per year. Expenses are usually tire rotations and replacements, cabin air filters, and wiper blade replacements. The Club Manager handles scheduling and vehicle delivery for service appointments.
Cleaning costs will be charged to the member responsible, based on the Club Manager’s assessment.
Damage repair costs will be charged to the responsible member, based on the Club Manager’s assessment.
The club’s checking account is zero-balanced annually. Financial reports are shared quarterly via a link. The Club has no direct tax liabilities, but reporting may still be required.
The club vehicle will be traded in after 12 months. The Club Manager manages the trade-in and vehicle replacement process.
